Jitter animation

Is there a way that I can create a Custom Animation that makes an object
(text box or shape) jitter a few pixels
in all directions, for a short time, to draw attention to itself..

Ideas welcome. I guess it will need VBA?

Sure, but it would be complex to do it exactly that way. Requires VBA and
such.

You could use a motion path "Plus" set rather small and fast with 3 or 4
repeats. This, however, hangs for a fraction of a moment between the
cycles. Not a smooth effect.

You could use the Emphasis animations (seeing as how that is, like, what
they do and all). The Flash Bulb one can be changed to 10 repeats at 0.1
seconds to draw attention.

Instead, what you may want to do is apply a Emphasis Grow/shirk (110%) with
auto reverse set to 0.05 seconds or so that repeats 10 times. No one will
miss that, but I would be very sure to use any of these sparingly or you
will need airsick bags.

Thanks Bill and Jean-Pierre. I have obviously not explored the Emphasis
effects sufficiently.
I do take your point, Bill, about not overdoing things!
