Jet 4 Service Pac8 problem

Have Win XP and getting an error when I try to install the Jet 4 SP8 update.
Keeps telling me I have a later update version than that being installed so
it is not needed but my database (Access 2003) program keeps telling me I
need to upgrade. Get KB829558 message but can not find the fix. Help please

I can’t be sure this is your issue but it sounds like it

I have this happen when vba code is used that was determined to be unsafe for office applications. I had written an updater to deploy new version of my app. When I upgraded to 2003 access had issues with my vba code in access that deleted files.

First I turned the client’s security down to get ride of the messages. This security setting is under toolsmacrosSecurity. Then I wrote a new deployment method in VB6 so that I could do the things that MS deemed unsafe for office applications.

I can’t be sure this is your issue but it sounds like it. If you should be getting a message about sandbox mode as well

yeah MS is a bunch of jerks.. i've had this problem before also.. i
just dont get WTF they're thinking.. they prompt you 100 times when you
open an access database

start treating Access like a legit program, MS

make sharepoint able to upload/download a ADP.. a SNP.. a MDB..
