Jet 4.0 SP8 error on Access 2003

Steve

I keep getting warnings about unsafe expressions not being
blocked when I open a newly created mdb file.
I am told that Jet 4.0 SP8 is needed in order to block
unsafe expressions without affecting functionality in
Access.

I have applied SP8 (file name: WindowsXP-KBB2955-x86-
ENU.exe)repeatedly but still get the error. (BTW: I am
running XP Pro)

A scan for patches on the Access product support page does
not indicate that I do not need the patch.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

I solved this same problem by changing the security level
Do this from TOOLS/ MACRO/ SECURITY. Changed mine to lowest level of security and the message went away

Hi Steve,

The message you are seeing is actually different than the message you saw
before you installed SP8, it is just formated very similarly. Now that you
have SP8 installed, you are being asked if you would like to start blocking
unsafe expressions. If you say yes, then Jet Sandbox mode will be turned on
and you will stop getting the warning about unsafe expressions.
