Javascript problem with IE6?

There's probably a really simple solution to this one,
that I've missed out, but I'm running IE6 with SP1, and
Q822925,Q330994,Q828750, and Q824145 applied on XP, and I
can't launch windows on sites using javascript. Quick
example for anyone old enough to gamble(!), is
www.ladbrokes.com which is a UK based bookmakers site. If
you click on the log in buttons top left of screen the
browser does nothing. Very annoying when provided with
hot tip for horse racing!!!
Any ideas anyone?

Having looked back through some of the posts in here,
I've seen references to pop up blocking software, so I
tried disabling Norton Internet Security to see if that
makes a difference, but it didn't....
