JavaScript Error: Object Expected

Internet Explore gives an "Error: Object Expected" on every
webpage it loads. No change to the settings of IE seem to
help. JavaScript is enabled, but does not work. One page
that tests the browser reports that JavaScript is disabled,
but the setting are correct. Any ideas what I might try?
This prevents the viewing of lots of web content.

Most of the time this is just errors on the web site ..... not your end.
However some ad-blocking apps will cause this (script error) when the ad or
banner fails to display.

Internet Options | Advanced
Select: "Disable script debugging"
Uncheck: "Display a notification about every script error", click Apply\Ok

Verify these Registry entries exist and are correct:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"Disable Script Debugger"="yes"
"Error Dlg Details Pane Open"="yes"
"Error Dlg Displayed On Every Error"="no"
"NoJITSetup"=dword:00000000
"NoWebJITSetup"=dword:00000001

Note: always Export before editing .....

Download the latest version of Windows Script 5.6 for XP\2K

Try installing that and see if it helps with your problem.
