i thought I would install the latest version of Java
1.4.2 by uninstall "everthing Java" on my system. (dumb
move). I've installed java 1.4.2 but now my browser (I.E.
6.0)shuts down everytime I want to view a java enabled
page. I use to have a Java icon on my control panel, but
I don't even have that anymore. I don't get it.

1.4.2 where did that come from,java from microsoft is
at version 5.0 as of Oct.2003,theres also a update for
that,yea that wasnt very smart.Also,microsoft java vir-
tual machine doesnt even show up in control-panel,where
did you get this junk...

go to www.java.sun.com and get the older programs and
simply download them and save them to a file of your
choosing and then open and run them. Have fun.
