java machine error on bootup

i just install the latest version of java from
sun....'java 2 runtime environment ver 1.4.2_03....now on
bootup it is giving me the following error 'java virtual
machine launcher....could not find main class program
will exit'......i also tried to uninstall it a couple of
times but the same....any suggestions besides
uninstalling it...

re-install it. I have had to do it at least 5 times in
the last couple months, there must be a conflict with one
of the XP updates
