Java in Internet Explorer?

Java does not seem to work in internet explorer. I have downloaded all the
updates, including critical updates, and made sure that java script options
are turned on in my browser, however, nothing seems to run. Is there
something I am missing?

I am using Windows XP Pro, with internet explorer 6.0

Despite the similarity of their names, Java and Javascript are
two completely different things. Which are you asking about?

Download & install MS Virtual Machine Build 3805.
Then visit the Windows Update website to obtain the
security updated version (Build 3810).

Are you sure you have a JVM (Java Virtual Machine) installed? Get one
at http://java.sun.com/getjava

BTW: JavaScript is a completely different thing from Java. JavaScript
options will not affect Java at all.
