Java flashing issues

I play this java game on mozilla firefox called yahoo pool, and frequently,
the whole game would flash causing my desktop icons to refresh around the
game. Is there anything I could do to resolve this issue? I'm a big fan of
this game and cannot turn away from it. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Ask your buddy Mr. Mozilla. Or ask your buddy at Yahoo Pool. This is NOT
an XP issue.
