I was experianceing random restarts so i wiped my computer clean. I used a
Windows XP Service Pack 2 OS Recovery Disk that came with my computer. Now i
only have a desktop with a background and a recycle bin, and i can no longer
access the internet.

Download and install the device drivers for
your the make and model of your computer.

These would include motherboard/chipset drivers.
Video, Network, Sound and other drivers.

Start by installing the motherboard/chipset driver.
Then the Video driver, Network, Sound, Etc.

Sounds like you decided to jump in head first in the deep end of the empty
pool. ;-)

You'll need to now install the hardware device drivers for each hardware
component in and connected to your machine. You may have media to do this,
then again - you may not and you will need to visit the manufacturer(s)
website(s) in order to download the proper drivers. You might have to refer
to your user manual, receipt or even open up the machine to find out exactly
what some of the hardware is. Right now you should concentrate on
motherboard chipset, network device and video card.

You'll then - after getting all the hardware device drivers installed and
everything functioning - install all of your other software from its
installation media using its product key(s).

Difficult, since he writes:
.....i can no longer access the internet.

Don't see why it would be difficult - after all they accessed the Internet
to post the fact that they can no longer access the internet (on that
computer.)

As long as they have Internet connectivity and a way to get a file from on
computer to another other than network (obviously) - then they should be
able to get the drivers to the computer from whatever computer they are
using to post their problem *on the Internet*. ;-)

masterofmagic420 put this in his subject line:
I've ran into a big problem and have no idea how to fix it.

People post messages here *because* they have a problem and have no idea
how to fix it.

So putting "I've ran into a big problem and have no idea how to fix it"
in your subject line is a waste of time and is non-informative for
people reading this group.

In the future, put a little effort into crafting a subject line that
actually gives a hint of what your problem pertains to.

If you have access to the internet from anothers computer you can get the
drivers you need from the manufacturers website and copy them to a disc
providing the computer has a cd rom writer. All you need is the driver for
your ehternet or NIC card and bing you will have access to the internet
