iTunes cannot find My Music

I copied all my Musuic to an external drive. "My Music"
folder remained on my main drive, but I found I could not open iTunes. The
following message appears when I try to open iTunes :
"The folder "iTunes" cannot be found or created, and is required. The
default location for this folder is inside the "My Music" folder."

The folder and the files all appear to be there. I have tried to Repair
iTunes, I have uninstalled iTunes, I have re-installed it, 8 times. I keep
getting the same message and cannot get into iTunes to direct it to the My
Music folder.
Please help me.

I also have this problem - it all started after I thought I was being clever
and moved 'my music' my external hard drive - now i-tunes cannot open despite
me copying the 'my music file' back to its original place

HELP !!!
