Issues with recyle bin

K

Kane Guy

I recently downloaded a virused file which I promptly deleted but when I
went to empty the recycle bin the virus message popped up again. All of the
icons in the recycle bin dissappeared but there is something still in there.
When I click empty recycle bin, even though I can't see anything in there,
asks me if I'm sure I want to delete the file (in this case 'killer ring
tone'). I click yes but it says Cannot delete Dd1: Cannot read from the
source file or disk and the virus message is displayed again. What can I
do?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Better try to do a online spayware scan
open this website
www.evido.com

click on scan now it will goes to new page you will get the yellow color
information bar in the top of the webpage, click on it install active x.

In the middle of webpage you will have the button startscan, click on it,it
will scan your computer completely wait for untill it completes the scan and
it show the files which were infected by spyware click on remove infections.

it will work

Thankyou very much for your suggestion.

I followed your instructions which did get rid of all of the tracking
cookies however it did not remove the trojan virus that is causing the
problem.

I have had BitDefender 9 as my antivirus for about 6 months which says that
it has blocked the virus and my computer is not infected but when I run a
virus scan it shows these trojans as being infected and says that it cannot
delete them.

I am
very confused. Is re formatting the computer the only way to get rid of it
totally?

Thankyou again for your help, it is very much appreciated.
