Issues with Installing Japanese Input

Hello,

Today I attempted to install Japanese written support for
Windows XP, but it does not work as expected. I added it
as was directed in Help, and the icon now appears in the
task bar.

When attempting to type into AOL Instant Messager, the
words will show up in Japanese but then upon hitting
enter will change into question marks. This is the only
program that even seems to support it at all.

I tried using Japanese input in Office XP, but it would
not work at all. The same goes for other programs such
as Internet Explorer.

Does anyone know how to do this? Do I have to change
seetings for every program I use it with? Why can't I
instant message in Japanese if the text shows up at
first, and I can read other people's Japanese writing?
Please respond.

Thank you,
Michele

Provided you installed the IME correctly - go to this excellent web
site and read the very easy to follow instructions:
