Issues with Images not loading in web sites

I am having an issue that just started after installing sp2. I did a
fresh format on this laptop, and checked the websites before I
installed each new update, everything was fine until I did a sp2
update, now the issue started again

here are some things that are happening:

1. when viewing websites, images are missing from the layouts, but at a
very random frequency. If I hit refresh enough times I will see all the
images, just not all at once. This happnes in all browsers, not just
IE....same thing for firefox, opera and IE.

2. when I am on a forum community, the image either isn't there or it
shows up as code:
IE: http://www.justjace.com/ie.jpg
Firefox: http://www.justjace.com/firefox.jpg

Everything on my laptop is functioning normally other than this, and I
know everything is setup right and is supposed to work because when I
refresh the webpage multiple times, I eventually see EVERY image on the
page, just not all at the same time

How old and slow is your computer?

PS SP2 does things a little differently (more bloatedly) when it comes to
internet connections and such - you should have stuck to sp0 for an old
comp., or alternateveliy free up some ram by unloading a few services.

Search the internet for speeding up your computer.

I have had this laptop for almost a year, it is a Athlon 1.79ghz 1gb
ram 80gb 7200rpm HD

I has never done this before, after a year of use, until last month it
started doing it very infrequently, now it does it all the time now

it has nothing to do with the connection speed or speed of my computer

I just did notice though, that my desktop is now also doing it

For those that care....it was Mcafee, something with the way Mcafee
security suite works was preventing images from being displayed
properly
