.ISO to EXE, is it possible?

A friend recently burned a disk with a game for me.
There should have been an executable file, but instead
there is just an .iso there. Is there anyway to convert
or extract the file so that I may load the game, or will
we have to reburn the disk. I don't have a burner myself.
All help is appreciated.

Well, you could *buy* the game and get a *real* CD, manual, and support...

But no, just renaming an .iso to an .exe won't let you run the program, any
more than repainting a Geo Metro makes it a Corvette.
