ISA Server And Client: How to setup my own?

Hello Everyone,

Im on a cable-internet sharing environment. The network administrator
has required me to install Microsoft Firewall Client on my system for
my internet to work. I suppose that the server will have ISA Server or
anything installed on it.

I like this idea, and now I would like to setup my own network with
this functionality. Im creating a new network with 5 systems in it.
One is the gateway (PS. I have never done these things before so im
not sure of anything that im doing or talking about) and the rest are
supposed to have that MS firewall client on their systems. What
software should i install on the server ? ISA Server ? (im not sure of
this name either!) And are there anything special or any settings that
have to be done on the server computer to configure that ISA or
whatever.

Second problem: Can ISA Server and client both be used together on a
system. For eg. like right now im on a network and have the client
firewall installed. I install an additional LAN and a switch and
further lay out 4 connections. my computer being a client for a
previous network, can it act as a server for the further 4 computers ?
if so... would that ISA Server and MS Firewall Client conflict with
each other ? any special settings needed ? What about defining a
gateway.

My first problem is more important though.. :)

Any idea or help appreciated. Thank you!

1. ISA Server is a separate product that install on a Windows 2000 or
Windows Server 2003 box. Find out more at
http://www.microsoft.com/isaserver/

2. You should NOT install the firewall client on an ISA Server.

does ISA server already come along with Win2K ? can it be used in
WinXP ?

and can ISA Server work on a system that is already configured for
proxy (without the firewall)
