Hi, try this array formula:

=SUM((B12:E12)*(B17:E17))

entered with SHIFT+CTRL+ENTER

Or without having to array enter:

=SUMPRODUCT(B12:E12*B17:E17)

Or use sumproduct as MS originally intended <bg>

=SUMPRODUCT(B12:E12,B17:E17)
