Is there a way to display Simplified Fractions?

Is there a way to format cells to show fractions down to a
sixteenth "1/16" or an eighth "1/8" but to also simplify
the fraction to display "1/2" instead of "8/16" as it does
when the cell format is "# ??/16" ?

i.e. Format a cell to display 1/16, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, etc.
depending on the inputted value, instead of 1/16, 2/16,
3/16, 4/16, etc.

That works but is there any way to keep the fractions in
1/16, 1/8, 1/4 & 1/2's for use in standard measurements in
inches? Something like 2.91667 displays as 2 11/12,
instead of 2 15/16, which doesn't transfer to a standard
inch ruler very well...

Round the fraction to the highest denominator you want (e.g. 16), then use the
??/?? format.

=ROUND(A1*16,0)/16
