Is there a way to disable standby for all users?

I am administrator of a domain on a military base. We require our computers
to be on 24/7 -- no standby. I have 4 desktop computers that are set to
never go into standby on their user profiles (and group policy, to boot) and
yet they each will go into standby anyway. Is there a registry key that will
disable standby for all users on a computer? Any help will be much
appreciated.

The standby feature is dependant on the system setting in Advanced Computer
Power Management. Selecting the driver for "Standard PC" instead of one of
the "Mulit..." drivers will disable standby. This also disabled the PlugNPlay
autoslection of resources for all the hardware, making more difficult
arrangement of things like IRQ's and memory locations for device drivers.

Start/run, type: devmgmt.msc, see the item below the 'computer' item for
ACPI, Properties shows a driver tab, and the 'update' button lets you look
for "Standard PC" (update driver, don't do update, install from a list, let
me choose)

The short answer is yes, it can be done. The more diffuicult decision is
about how much hardware you need to get running on the system, and can you do
it without PlugNPlay.
