Is there a fix for 0x80244001

Like some may have already posted, I am having this error,

(Windows Defender was unable to complete the update: 0x80244001)

every time I try to to do an update for the beta 2 in installed yesterday. I
am running XP on Celeron M and I know that has nothing to do with the error.
I also have on the main screen of the Windows Defender main status screen,
""Windows Defender Definitions Haven't been updated for 27 days""....can tell
me if this is simply because of my inability to update or if it is something
from your end?

Have you tried going to Windows Update and checking for available updates?

The check for updates in the program goes to autoupdate. Autoupdate, in the
home environment, should go directly to Microsoft. In a corporate or
institutional lan, however, it may go to a SUS or WSUS server. SUS does not
have these signature updates available. WSUS can have them available if the
administrator enables this.

WindowsUpdate should work.
