Is my card fried???

New Sapphire 9800Pro, played thru Max Payne 2 without issues, a whole
weekend of playing....

Played 7-8 hours of Serious Sam 2 without issues......

Played thru Halo without issues..........

Smelled that ole hot circuit board smell for awhile when it was new,
figgered it was just breaking in. Still running the same card, smell wore
off, runs in my system 24/7......

Running Windows and 2D continuosly 24/7 since I got it 2 weeks ago....

However, now when I start up the games, it crashes to a black screen, and
the monitor says No Signal, and I have to reboot to get it to come back.
One crash did generate a VPU reset, but most times just gone. Running
with the same card in Windows right now is just fine. Have had Cat 3.8
drivers installed since I got it, and it was fine thru all those first
hours of gaming.

Fan's working, and I know these things run hot, but has it somehow fried
itself so it runs 2D and Windows fine, but won't run 3D for games????

This case has two intake fans in front and 2 exhaust fans in the back, as
well as the PS exhaust fans, so should have plenty of airflow....

Does it sound like it's toast? Sigh

Never mind. Duh, the fan on the card did fail, completely frozen up and
won't spin. Sheesh..

My fan fell off my brand new Hercules 9700 Pro when I was installing
it! I sent it back to NewEgg and got a replacement a few days later.
Been fine ever since.
