Is it the game, drivers or graphics card

Hi All,
Just doing some game compatibility testing on my laptop (Vaio VGN-A517B)
which has an ATI X600 256MB graphics card.

I am using Vista Ultimate (via MSDN) but cannot get a number of games
(specifically WoW) to increase the screen resolution past 800x600.

I have used the default Vista drivers and the lastest notebook ATI drivers,
both with the same result.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

Thanks

Vortal

I have the same problem with FlightSim 2004. When i get above 800x600 the
screen is all mashed up or not displayed at all.

I have an ATI Radeon 9800 SE

I was waiting to see if there would be another 'me too' post
before posting.

With FSX coming out at the end of the year, I don't know if the
MSFS developer team is going to spend time trying to improve FS2004 to
get it to work with Vista. perhaps cooling the jets (pun intended) and
waiting for FSX might be the better option.
