Is it saga of Adobe Reader and Vista to continue?

Do you have UAC turned on or off? With UAC on, running from my default
account which is a member of the Administrators group, it installed without
issue.

You didn't have to install it in XP compat mode ? I tried with ON and Off
and both time I had to select the installer to run in XP compat mode, to get
around the temp file doesn't have enough free space issue

Dale, no, I didn't use compatibility mode. I never got that temp file not
having enough free space message either.

No problems here installing AR8... stupid question, but are you sure you
have the Vista version?

I have tried both, but as I said in my other post I've tried
again and after fresh reboot this time the installation worked
fine for me too. Thanks for reply.

No problems installing here on x86 Vista Ultimate. Right click on setup
file, run as administrator, from a standard user account, UAC enabled.

Thanks for reply, see my other message on this subject.
Eventually it worked for me too.

Question, like question...-;) Thanks for your answer.

But I'm 100% sure that this is MY copy of a genuine Vista Ult.

In my case, Adobe reader refused to install and gave temp folder access
permission when I turn the UAC off. But if I turn UAC ON it will install
with no problem.

Hmm, maybe it's the crack I'm smoking ( I switched to crack lite), but I
sure seem to remember having to do that even with UAC enabled. Now I gotta
format and re-install to test again

Lol, crack lite, got to love it.

I saw your reply that it's working now... that's great. Just wanted to
clarify that I was asking if the Adobe Reader 8 version you were trying to
install was the Vista version, not whether you had genuine Vista...
