Hi,
(I asked this Q some time ago in ADO group, unfortunately
without the answer)
I'm using Borland C++ Builder as a development tool, and I
use ADO to access various data storages, mainly *.mdb.
I noticed that on maybe 2% of PC's, ADO is somehow
damaged. Updating (repairing) MDAC with "mdac_typ.exe"
which is available on MS site for free download always solves
the problem, execpt when the user has SP2 installed, when the
"mdac_typ.exe" cannot be executed at all.
That's because it would be considered as downgrade.
Is there a way to repair MDAC on XP/SP2 ?
