The Microsoft Management Console is currently connected to a remote computer.

This version of Disk Defragmenter does not support the defragmentation of
remote volumes.

That was taken from the MMC with the Comptuer Management Snap-In of another
computer, i have a large number of computers that are all new this year (some
last) that it is about time to start looking at micro-manageing them.

1. Is their a way to remotely setup / run disk defrag for the primary C:\
drive (it's all that they have)

2. Slightly off topic, but is their a way to remotely connect to their file
systems (without sharing the drives or what not) I would like to clean out
alot of the temp folders before defragging

1) yes but you need the full version of diskeeper and diskeeper server is
the only one that you can run defrag remotely. can't do it from workstation
to workstation

2) without sharing - no. just use the administrative share c$ that is
hidden by default

Not possible with the built-in defragmenter. With a 3rd party defragmenter,
it can be possible.

You could always access via the Admin share (ie. C$).
