is it possible to add unused disk space to c partition

I have unused disk space that currently is not assigned to any partition and I would like to add it to my c partition since I am getting low disk space messages. Is this possible. I have not been able to find a way so far.

The only way you can create, delete, resize or merge existing partitions,
and not harm your existing Windows installation, is to purchase and use
a third-party partitioning program such as Partition Magic 8.

The alternative is to perform a "clean install" of Windows XP:

thank you both for your extremely prompt replies. I will look into partition magic then.
