Is it possible for cells within the same column to have diff. widt

Or for cells within the same row to have different heights? For example, can
A1 be two inches high while A2 is only half an inch high? Can this be done?

You can have different font sizes within the same row or column but the
column or row will size itself to the largest font and data set within that
row or column assuming the data does not flow across to the next cell.

I'm pretty sure this can't be done. The closest effect to this would be to
merge cells.

Row height and Column width are the property of the entore row or column.

BTW...............A1 and A2 are two different rows so yes, row 1(A1) can be two
inches and row 2(A2) can be one half inch.

But I think you have a typo and meant A1 and B1. In that case see first
sentence above.
