Hello
i have lots of windows xp home/prof and ofiice2003 i bought for
cybercafe now switched to linux , i did activated some of the home
edition once before
anyway i want to resell them all
so i want to know if that's legal, i heard it could be sold once so the
buyer cant sell them in the future, is that right?!
and what about the activated ones? how many reactivates works? after
the activates expired what happens?

another thing, one of the cds broke but i still have the cd-key of it
so can i sell a copy of one of the working cds with this cd-key?

If any of the versions were OEM versions and you had installed them then
they can not be transferred/sold without the computer they were installed
on. OEM versions are tied to the first system they were installed on.
However if these are Retail versions then yes you can legally sell or
transfer ownership providing you don't have them installed on any other
systems. As for the broken disc if this is a Retail version (not an OEM
version) then you can contact Microsoft for a replacement CD.

What you can and cannot do with a Windows XP license
is spelled out in the End-User License Agreement.

Please read your End-User License Agreement by going
to Start > Run and type: WINVER , and hit enter. Then
click on "End-User License Agreement".

No, you heard wrong. There is no restriction on selling them only *once*. If
they are retail copies, they can sold as many times as the owners want to.
But if they are OEM copies, once installed, they can never be resold (except
along with the computer they are installed on).

As many times as you want or need to. There is no limit.

after
the activates expired what happens?

If it's a retail copy, contact Microsoft to get a replacement.
