Is antispyware beta even working ?

After 30+ scans,Microsoft's antispyware beta only found
spyware on the first scan. Twenty nine scans later- 0
detected- 0 detected- 0 detected, now after i scan
microsoft and it finds nothing i scan with ad-aware and
spybot and they find something almost every scan. Is
microsoft antispyware a one time scan only program, or is
something not working here.

Because MSAS Beta 1 does not look for cookies and dataminers, as the two
other apps do - and this is what they actually find. Many times mentioned
here, on the newsgroups.

I would suggest that this, providing that you are using

the protection, proves that it is working by preventing
the spyware invading your PC
