Ipconfig /renew gives access is denied

Hi,

I have the following trouble:
When (in the morning) I do a ipconfig /release -->
Ipconfig /renew I get a new IP adress. But when (in the
afternoon when there is a lot off people in the office) I
do a ip config /release --> Ipconfig /renew I get
an "access is denied", and the ip address is 0.0.0.0
subnet 255.255.255.255 . After 30 min. I get a new ip
address. I get this message on both XP and 2OOO. My DHCP
server is a Windows 2000 server.

Can it be the load on the server that is too much, or a
problem with the switches?

With the network cards is nothing wrong.

Any help would be welcome.

Thanks

Are you logged in using an account with administrative rights to the machine
you're running the command on?

Hmmm. The problem definitely won't be with load on the network, although
the fact that you get a lease 30 minutes later is very strange.

Are you getting the problem with one machine, or with lots?

Regards

Oli
