IPCONFIG problem

T

tim

I have a machine that I am only able to access from
certain other machines (something about the way the
subnets are set up in this building)using VNC or Net
Meeting. When I go to the box and do an IPCONFIG I get:
An internal error occured: a device attached to the system
is not functioning. unknown media status code.
I do have the MS loopback adapter installed, could that be
the problem? I am dynamically being assigned an IP, but
why won't IPCONFIG work?

Hi,

What kind of network card does the box have? What driver are you using?
have you updated the driver recently? If this driver is not the driver from
theXP install, you may try using the Driver Rollback utility under the
Drivers tab in Device Properties to reinstall the driver Windows XP
assigned upon setup.
If that doesn't work try using a different network card.

Thanks,
