ip3000.. love it to bits!

Well, there was quite a spat in here about this printer (Cannon ip3000)
. I just had to say that after a flawless installation we have just
printed out a couple of 4"x6" prints on glossy photo paper with everything
on 10 and we're chuffed to bits with the quality. And with generic inks at
£2 per colour we're going to print a shedload more...

Couldn't have asked for more at the price... CD printing too!

So you've been Canonised....

I know the problem from my experience with the C62, you'll find i
far more economical and far less troublesome

At £2/tank (USD$3.50ish less than what i've paid for empty tanks) It
would be more economical esp since pigmented ink tends to cost more
than dye. The only possible issue with the ecconimics I can see on the
ip3000 is assuming at 80% black the dye black on the ip4000 would kick
in, it might be possible that you are using color faster. But i'd be
hard pressed to actually provide a valid estimate esp when we are
dealing with £2 tanks.

Problem is, Epson wastes ink, just how much of that hard earned cas
goes on paper rather down to the waste pad, PC mag. states that ther
is 20% of ink left in a C84 tank when the red light comes on Epso
won't say why

Canon states they thrive to leave 10% ink when the red light comes on
PC Mag. states there was 6%

I change the Canon's ink less than I used to change Epson's
Economical, I guess so

I do refer to OEM ink any other will be obviously different, ver
different
