IP Routing on ICS

J

Jeffery Allison

how do you tell if the ip routing is still enabled on a
ICS home network?

I am assuming that if the ip routing is not working the
the client PCs cannot gain internet access the the ICS
host, is that correct?

Finally, if the IP routing is not enable then how can it
be restarted without rebooting the PCs?

I have tried ipconfig/all, but I am not sure what to look
for.

Thanks for your assistance!

Hi, Jeffery -

Can you post your ipcionfig /all here?

If you clock the little DOS prompt icon at the top left
of the command prompt window you'll see an option that
says Edit --> Mark.

Highlight the text with your mouse and smack the enter
key - that'll put the text on the clipboard. Then all
you have to do is paste it into a message here. Maybe we
can help a little better if we can see the same thing you
do.

Allan,

Below is the IPconfig info from the ICS host and a ICS
client, the host is WinXP and the Client is Win98SE
(could not control the scroll on win98se, hope this is
enough information. At the time these were taken the ICS
connection was working properly, but experience tells is
will not last.

Thanks for your assistance
