IP Address Warning

This appears and boots everyone off the web. Started noticing when I got my
new work computer and worked via VPN. Now it seems to affect all.

What is the probability that there is another computer in the LAN with
the same IP address? Such as our prior computer which might be used by
someone else? It should be possible to track it down by the MAC address
of its NIC. Or IT might be able to discern its physical location through
noting which physical port it is connected to the LAN.

Well, it certainly sounds like the culprit is your new work computer. The
Internet Protocol does not allow two or morecomputers to have the same IP
address.
