IP Address range

Hi,

My network has IP address range 192.168.10.0 and I have someone who wants to
remote desktop to a server on my network. He can establish a vpn no problem,
but can't then connect to the server. His network has the same internal
address range!

Any suggestions for resolving this would be welcome. He has the same problem
whether connecting to the server with a name or an IP address. The problem
has only arisen since I changed my IP address range to the same as his. (I
didn't intentionally choose that range!)

Regards,
SW

It is better to use the different IP range. If for some reasons, you can't, you may want to modify the routing table or setup IPSec. These links may help,

Hi Bob

Thanks for the links. As I undersatnd it, it is possible to make this work using a route on my server, but only if the client always comes in on the vpn with the same ip address?

he needs to connect to the server thru the router. everyone has 192.168.1.1+
at their lan, unless they changed it specifically. look on yer router, and
find its address. thats the one u need 2 put in for rdp. make sure yer port
is open on yer router to allow rdp. the port is 3389 if u needed it. let me
know
