invisible boarders in tables

does anyone know why my boarders would be invisible in design mode? they show
up pfine in preview and when published but I can not see them while
designing. It makes it quite difficult to work with them. I have large tables
with text in the cells so seeing the boarders can be crucial in design.

Hard to say w/ more detail or a URL of a page to look at
If using FP 2003 and grid lines are turned (too small) on they can mask tables outlines
