When we try to access a secure internet URL, we are getting this error on
Windows XP SP2 wih IE 6 SP2

The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: <"URL">

The following error was encountered: Invalid URL
:
:

After this error if we press ENTER again ro click GO from address bar, the
page loads properly.

The same site when we try to access from a Windows 2000 Professional there
is no error. Also if we try to access the same site from another XP SP2 and
IE from a machine in different network there is no error.

Since we use browser controls in our application, pressing ENTER again is
not possible. Please let us know if anybody have a solution to this problem.

ThanX

What is the reason for this problem and is there

Make sure your firewall is not blocking port 443.

Go to Start | Run and enter these commans (press <Enter after each one).
