invalid file path

I can not open a file. Error message is : path is not valid, check spelling.

My backup files also do not open. I have not changed anything. Where
should I look to make any changes to file spellings?

This problem seems to happen every few months although I never touch the
design or files of the database.

Please help with any suggestions. Thank you!

I tried opening the backup file on a different computer also and the same
error message occurs. At the time when I backed up the files, I did not have
the problem. Why would the backup files also give me an error message?
