Introduction Page in Website

How do I set up a website with a page that you click on icon ( candle) and
then it opens to the website. I set the existing index page to do this but
how do you set up the rest of pages with shared borders and links. I did try,
but when i selected format shared borders on the pages nothing happened. I
am a newbie so step by step would be nice.
Thanks

Any particular reason you wish to do this? Splash or intro pages have been
deemed as a bad idea by many web designers. I know this doesn't answer your
question but you may want to consider the pros and cons of this before you
put any work into it if you haven't already.

No particular reason, the client wanted a site that had a " come on in and
see what our church is all about feeling" Can you tell me what are the pros
and cons of doing this. ...and yes, I have put a lot of time into trying to
figure out how to accomplish this without Spash- ...you would'nt believe..:)

I think you may have already come up with the pros (or the client has). The
biggest con is that it has to be your landing page which is your index or
home page. It makes it very difficult for search engines to find and index
your site because there is little or no content on such pages. Unless you
are Microsoft or NASA most folks won't know your name or domain name off the
top of their heads and will find you via search.
