Interoperability - Windows 2000 and 2003 within AD

S

Shalom B.

What are the prerequisites to get both Windows 2000 and 2003 servers to
co-exist and interoperate in Active Directory. i.e. I wish to install a
2003 DC in an existing 2000 AD infrastructure and have them run in the
Native-Mode. Any pointers will be very much appreciated.

See if the information here helps:

You can also search msdn.microsoft.com and www.microsoft.com/technet for
more details on AD migration and upgrading.

You will have to use "adprep" from the Windows 2003 install disk. First you
need to user adprep /forestprep on your fsmo schema master for the forest
and then do adprep /domainprep on the fsmo infrastructure for the domain.
The link below has more details. --- Steve
