Internet time on network

Dick Ballard

I just networked two PC's via Linksys WRT54G router which is connected
to my new DSL service (AT&T WorldNet via Covad). Prior to this point I
could successfully obtain an internet time update on both PC's via
dial-up access.

Now I get an error explaining that "peer's stratum is less than the
host's stratum" when I try to do an internet time update on either PC.
I assume it has something to do with my network or the DSL pathway.
Also on the router status page it indicates that current time is "not
available".

Any suggestions for getting NTP (Network Time Protocol) working and
for getting the router to set its clock?

FWIW I've been seeing this problem all over the Microsoft Public Newsgroups
this morning so I doubt it's you.

Exact same error for everybody, no solutions or answers that I've seen so
far.
