Hi,

We have 14 Windows XP computer, 2printers, 1 switch, and broadband internet
connection through wired router.

As there is no server but dhcp is enabled is on easch computer, why?
Evry computer is able to use internet connection. "Obtain IP address
automatically" is selected but when I ried to giev static address to one
computer it stops accessing internet. why ?

What is the role of DHCP towards internet sharing here ?

You could provide an exact description of "it stops accessing internet".

I'd offer 3 possibilities, that can happen when you manually assign settings.
1) Bad DNS settings.
2) Bad default gateway.
3) Duplicate IP address.

But there most likely IS a DHCP server: the "wired router."
