Internet sharing: Host WinXP, Client Win2000Pro

YG

Good morning,

my host, from which I write, runs XPHome. It is connected to the net via
ADSL.

A client under Win2000Pro is to share my internet connection. The
internal network between XP and 2000 is stable, file exchange etc. no
problems.

The XP Assistant for the creation of a home network requires now, that I
create a floppy in order to feed data to the 2000 client. Alternately, I
can use the XP CD, it says.

The problem is:
- the XP has no floppy drive (new comp)
- the XP came with pre-installed XP, thus there also is no XP CD.

Or from a higher-level perspective, the problem is that the 2000 won't
use XP's internet sharing. (Yes, it is activated.)

What can I do to let the 2000 participate in the big world?

Forget ICS and get a router.
