Internet settings

I recently hard a hard drive failure and set up a new drive with XP. After I
installed everything the way it was, I noticed that I now cannot change my
default home page to anything other than MSN.com. I have even tried to
change it in the registry but nothing helps. I had my home page set for
microsoft.com

I have looked in Add/Remove and don't see any search bars or anything out of
the ordinary there.

I am current as far as updates for XP Pro, with the exception of SP2
Anti-virus software is current as well.

I am using Ad-Aware, so I know its not a matter of a pest.

When I do go to the page I want displayed as my home page, and set it as my
default page in Internet settings, it comes up as :blank

Any clues would be most appreciated!

I discovered something interesting for those who are using AdAware...

When I turned off AdAware and changed the setting, it worked. I was able to
change the home page. I didn't use to have to do that, but maybe something
changed in AdAware.

Uninstall AdAware and then reinstall it.
