INTERNET SEARCH ENGINE

HELP!!
I know nothing about computers, I usually use Yahoo or
google as a search engine on Internet explorer, but i have
managed to get one called lucky search. I didnt ask for
it. I reset my default to google or yahoo, but when i log
back on again it goes to this luck search. How do I get
rid of it? Even when I delete history, it' s still there.
Anyone help a poor dumb kid?

Cheers

Steve,

First, scan the system for parasites and remove them. SpyBot S&D searches your harddisk for Spyware and Adware
http://security.kolla.de/

&

Adaware (similar)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
(Remember to perform a Webupdate to have the latest definitions installed)

This will remove malware from the PC. Next, reset the Search Engine. Click the Search button in the toolbar > Customize > AutoSearch Settings > Select a provider from the list.
Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Options > Programs > "Reset Web Settings"

Download the fix - Reset Search:

Spybot doesn't work on W XP-Home addition. Where do we get a patch to allow
it to do more than flash across the monitor for about 2 seconds?

Thanks

Did you try Ad-Aware?

That is a known bug in spybot. My friend and also my son-in-law had
the same problem. Go to the FAQ section at the Spybot sight and the
answer is there.
