I have an older Toshiba laptop running 2000 Professional, that I have not
used in a while and that will no longer connect to my wifi network. I
called Bellsouth and was told that there was a problem with TCP/IP registry
setting and that I should call Microsoft, which I did. They were no help at
all, as usual; she suggested that I call Toshiba. After waiting for 45
minutes to speak to a real live person, I gave up. Does anyone have any
ideas?

Did you run the setup on it and configure it, what the Error Message you Got?.
Try to unistall and reinstal the TCP/IP from the Control Panel, Double click
on the Network and there Right click and select Properties and uninstall the
TCP/IP and Reboot your machine.
Reinstall it agian and see if you could establish a connection, if not you
missing something in your connection as we can't see you network we can't
tell exactly what it is, since there is n't Error message to work on.
Also since you said you didn't use your Win2k from a long time ago, did you
get all the updates installed on it?.
Read this article and see if it will help:
