Internet explorer

i was browsing one night, i had to restart my computer for some mundane reason, when it returned, i tried to open internet explorer and i got this message...
internet explorer can not be opened. there is error signatur
AppName:iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: iefeatsl.dl
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 000143c

and then it just closed itself, and i haven't been able to use this program since. what can I do ? I've tried just about all i can think of, uninstall, reinstall, etc, i've run out of options and and really ticked about this problem because internet explorer is the only browser i want to use. Anyone with help or a suggestion, i would gladly appreciate i
