Internet explorer

I cannot change my home page on internet explorer. the box is grey out plus
buttons to set my home page is also greyed out.
It keeps defaulting to msn web page.
I running winxp home
Any help would be appreciated

Boot to safe mode [F8 while booting], and try it from there. If you can
change it from safe mode, do a clean boot -

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353/en-us and then, run a spyware scan and
a virus scan.

However, if it's still the same in safe mode, click Start > Run

sfc /scannow > OK [You'll need the Win XP CD for this].

Open IE (Internet Explorer), click Help>Contents and Index and
scroll down to Home Page>highlight Changing or Restoring and
click the Display button.
