I have msn explorer. But internet explorer pops up a lot. How do I uninstall
this ? I have tried add and remove but it does not work.

You cannot uninstall IE (Internet Explorer) for it is intregrated in XP.
Make sure MSN is designated as your default browser in:
Start>Programs Access and Defaults>Custom

Internet Explorer is built in to Windows. It can be removed
but it is not recommended as other things will not work, like
updates. If you don't want to use IE just install alternatives
like Firefox, Netscape, Opera, etc.... Make some other
browser the default and don't worry about IE.

PS. 80% of the security problems come from IE and OE.
Just install an alternative and have a lot less problems.

Open the properties of internet explorer (right mouse click on the icon and
select properties). Go to the programs tab. At the bottom there is a
checkbox that says "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the
default browser". Make sure this is checked. Click Apply then close.

Run Internet Explorer from the shortcut. You will be asked to make it the
default browser.
