Internet Explorer Title Bar Problem

I have a very strange situation and have tried everything I can find via
search engines and still no luck. The problem is that somehow, the title bar
no longer displays the name of url with "Microsoft Internet Explorer" in
Windows XP Pro. In it's place is just a single letter. If you click on a
link within the page, the title bar changes to the lower case letter. I have
gone through the registry and cannot find the title "window title." I added
this string and still the same thing happens. I downloaded and used the
suggested title bar editor and I can't get it to change the bar. I also used
the other suggestion "rundll32 iedkcs32.dll,BrandCleanInstallStubs" and it
didn't work either. HELP! What has happened and how do I fix it?

This is caused by Google Desktop Search or by the Google Toolbar.
Uninstall/reinstall the Google Desktop Search / Google toolbar should fix
the problem.

The text displayed in the Internet Explorer title bar is set in the following
registry location on my office XP Pro SP1 machine.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Windows Title

However, this key doesn't exist on my XP Home SP2 machine. Maybe in the
absence of this registry key, the default is "Microsoft Internet Explorer".

Do you have this registry key?

Ramesh, It must be the Google Desktop Search which I do NOT have because I
HAVE the Goggle Toolbar and have never lost the Title bar.

Google Toolbar does cause this for *some* users, from what I've seen in the
IE6 newsgroup. Though I've not experienced that problem personally.
